Hanover Valley Camping Trip
Mark your calendars for the last weekend in September! We have reserved two group pavilions at Calendonia State Park for September 24th - 26th. Bring a tent, food, and don’t forget to invite your friends and family! The cost is $5 per person. Please sign-up in the Great Room if you are planning on camping with us. For questions, contact Bruce Schwarz.
Serving Opportunity
Hanover Valley Church prepares and serves the lunch at the shelter across the street from the church on the 5th Sunday of each month. The next opportunity is coming on August 29th. The Mercy Team is looking for folks willing to serve in simple ways with setting up, cooking, and cleaning up. Since it’s on a Sunday, we encourage you to consider worshiping at one service and serving during the other. If you are interested in serving, please sign up in the Great Room. For questions, please contact Bonnie Harrity at 630-2771.
Adult Workshop
Jesus came to heal us in every way. As the great hymn “Joy to the World” says, “He has come to make his blessings known as far as the curse is found.” Learn more about our church’s mercy ministry and how we seek to bring healing and restoration to those suffering in our community from physical sickness, financial difficulties, addictions, homelessness, and more. Could God be calling you to get more involved in serving those experiencing hardship? If so, you may receive more then you ever give and you will be changed through the process. This class will begin on August 8th and will be taught by Bob Casper and Christina Warrington.
Kids Under Construction
This active and age appropriate learning time for children from four years old through high school. We want to be a ministry that assists parents in introducing maturing , and disciplining their children through Christ-centered Biblical teaching and activities that promote the development of loving and caring relationships. Child care is also provided during this time for those children who may be younger. Please ask greeters if you need help finding a classroom.
