Movies in the Park

Bring your kids and friends out for a evening of fun! An outdoor movie will be shown each Friday evening of the summer months at Wirt Park. Join us to offer this event for our community and greet our neighbors. The Iron Giant will be the first movie of 2010 to begin at sunset on June 25th. The other dates will be July 30th and August 27th.

Serving Opportunity

Each year, Hanover Valley provides a rest area with ice water at the downtown Dutch Days festival. Volunteers are needed to help hand out water and to greet the community from 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. on July 31st. If you think you would like to help the Mercy Team support this ministry, please sign up in the Great Room. We have the day broken down to two-hour periods, but we can still use your help if you can only volunteer for an hour! If you have any questions, please contact Melodi Arnold.

Adult Workshop

What is the church? The Bible is filled with rich metaphors to help us fully understand the church’s nature and purpose. As we understand these metaphors better, God can use us to more effectively reach the world and bring healing to it. We want to see Christ’s dream for the church become a reality. Please join us as we begin this new Adult Workshop, The Nature and Purpose of the Church, taught by Bruce Schwarz and others, on May 16th.

Kids Under Construction

This active and age appropriate learning time for children from four years old through high school. We want to be a ministry that assists parents in introducing maturing , and disciplining their children through Christ-centered Biblical teaching and activities that promote the development of loving and caring relationships. Child care is also provided during this time for those children who may be younger. Please ask greeters if you need help finding a classroom.
